What is the deadline to decide if you want to lock off a 2 br? Thanks as always.

It depends on the resort. Some resorts have only 2BR L/O and you can lockoff at anytime although many agents have to get a supervisor to help do it. If the resort has both 2BR and 2BR L/O you may be unable to lockoff a dedicated 2BR when there are no more available 2 BR L/O units when you want it done. The agent will be able to tell you if it is possible or not.

If you own a 3 BR L/O unit then I think it is not a problem as I don't believe there are properties with dedicated 3BR units.

I will own a 2 br at Marriott Aruba Surf Club (closing in process now).

As VacationForever has said you can lock off at anytime. Keep in mind that if you do it within 60 days then they may need to get a Supervisor to push it thru and then assign you TWO Reservation Numbers.

Moral of the story? It's easier to do it prior to the sixty day time frame.....

And also if within 60 will impact trade value in II if you deposit.

I often book a 2 BR lockoff even if I don't plan to lock off. I've been able to split it later without other availability and without an additional fee since it's enrolled.

For resorts that have lock off and non lock off units, when you make a 2BR reservation you select the type of unit you want to reserve; a dedicated 2BR or lockoff type.
