Anyone else noticing the new (and annoying) hang when searching for a room?

Seems like it started in the last few days (no more than a week).

Once you bring up the availability calendar, you have to wait 15-20 seconds before selecting a date, advancing to the next month, or even using the back to results link (example 'back to results' it looks like an active link, but you can't click during this lag time). Something must be loading up in the background, you can't do anything on this page but wait.

Uggg, Wyndham, if you are listening. A bad thing just got worse.

Yep, happened to me last week while booking a couple of reservations. Definitely annoying...I was beginning to think I was going to have to back out of the website and start over.

Yes, I've experienced the same thing the past few days. I am getting a message that says, "A page is slowing down your browser. What would you like to do?" It gives two options: "Stop it" or "Wait". Regardless, which one I clicked, it didn't correct the problem.

Here is the solution I found: I was using Mozilla Firefox as my browser when having this problem, so I switched to Google Chrome and it corrected the problem. Also, it worked when I switched to Microsoft Edge as my browser.

I am using Chrome and it has been slower loading that drop down that allows you to switch months. Obviously something they slipped into a recent release.

Chrome is slower loading, but Mozilla "locks up" altogether and won't advance to the next month at all. So, yes, something is going on with Wyndham's site that is slowing it down.

I had the problem using Edge...it's just taking much longer for it to load for me.

I called and spoke to a VIP operator about the issue and they filled out a ticket. Should I hold my breath while waiting for a fix?

I reported online (contact us). It's certainly noticeable and easy to duplicate the issue. Let's hope they get it fixed soon.

From the comments here (thanks everyone), I thought maybe it was a cacheing issue. I am using chrome on a macbook. I cleared my cache. It did not help.

I've been seeing it on Chrome for 3 days now. Thx to those who reported it to Wyndham.

I've been seeing the same problem with Edge and IE. Sometimes it never recovers and I have to start over.

For me, I discovered a pattern and a workaround. It seems to only happen when I type in the name of a resort in the search. If instead I select a city or region from the drop down and do the search, then pick the resort I want from the results I never see the delay.

I posted this in reply to someone in a Facebook group and didn't get a reply or even a like, so I suspect they had no idea what I was talking about. Everyone else just told them to clear the cache or use a different browser. So maybe this doesn't work for anyone else.

This workaround works for me, as well.
An extra step, but I do think it saves some time (and definitely frustration).
Hope Wyndham gets this fixed soon.
Thank you!

Thanks! I just tried it, twice to make sure the first time wasn't a fluke, and it worked for me too!

Ok I for sure noticed this beginning of last week, and just assumed it was a network lag. But I can confirm this just happened to me this morning while booking Clearwater.

I started off by searching resort, then clicked on dates to see the full calendar of availability and there was a little lag there. Then when I clicked the month dropdown control to get out to 13 months ahead the screen just froze and eventually the months appeared after what seemed like at least 15 seconds. When the months appeared in the drop down list I was able to complete my reservation.

I am trying to book for the 1st time and am wondering what the S and P mean next to the date? Is there a place where I can find out how to book?

E - Express Reservation period (you MAY Rent as many points during this period)
S - Standard Reservation Period
P - ARP (Advanced Reservation Priority)

Tip for you if you are not very tech savy, If you go to owner 101 and then look under the video library tab, there are videos that explain the booking engine and how it works.
