Points earned through Vistana via sales presentations, purchase incentives, etc expire six years after they are awarded. I've always wondered if that was really ever tracked.

The Marriott.com FAQ has the following:

Has anyone been able to find this information in your profile on Marriott.com?

No, I have never been able to find this information. Even the SPG folks prior to the merger insisted there were no expiration dates on any of my points.

Our original Vistana Bonus Points for our first purchase were on my husband’s SPG Account. I traveled for business and we eventually just used my account for all Points activity. Sure enough, 6 years later he received an email stating that he had a couple hundred points expiring soon. I laughed because I thought it was just a rumor that they actually could track expiration dates on Points.
