I just noticed on my reservation for my home resort at WKORVN that the villa type is "Island 2". What's the difference between "Island 2" and "Island 1"? And what villa type is considered "varies" when I see it on posts?

thanks for any info,

Robert

don't know about Islands 1 and 2 but "varies" is what you get when you do a star option (not home reservation). Home reservations you get what you own on your deed -Island view, ocean view, or ocean front. For a star option reservation it is varies. Since they took out the ocean front and made that a higher pointed product if you book a non oceanfront during open reservations with star options you could get ocean view or island view and won't know until you check in.

Never seen that before. Just looked and my home resort reservation for WKORVN next July says Villa Type: 2 Bedroom Lockoff Villa , Islandview

I thought Varies was just a description used on RedWeek postings etc. when people didn't want to use Island.

I have five active WKORVN reservations and just checked each of them. My four Home Resort reservations either state Oceanfront or Island View. My one StarOption reservation does not indicate a view and does not say "varies".

I have 2 active reservations, one a Home Resort and one a StarOption. The Home Resort reservation says "Ocean View", the StarOption reservation just says "2 Bedroom Villa" - no view indicated, and nowhere do I find "varies". Doesn't appear to be a Vistana thing.

Are you perhaps looking at the reservation on Marriott.com?
