What sort of margarita contains rum?
At 50% alcohol, I would say a pretty potent one, although tequila would be the traditional source of that alcohol! Either way, a couple of those at $4 and I don't think anyone will notice....

We'll take whatever we can get here. I know that guy was pouring multiple bottles into that drink, not just tequila.

The pool is not quite full yet, but the chairs are out and the tape is down. I do not believe you are allowed in the pool yet until tomorrow. Notice nobody is in it, just a couple of workers checking things out. Nobody on those lounges, either.

The pool is now open - there are people in the water and on the chairs. I wonder how cold that water is? I'll find out very soon!

We are going for 2 weeks in January and your picture just put a smile on our faces.

We absolutely love it there. The first place in the last 5 years that my wife said we must come back immediately after our first visit. This is our 3rd time and we invited friends this time. They are coming for 10 days and we got them their own 1 bedroom, instead of sharing a 2 bedroom. My wife has warned me, "they better not ruin this fur us" , lol.

The water level is still about a foot low. Notice the infinity edge is way above the water level and the tile lounges are high and dry. I walked around the pool a bit. The temp was fine, but being only 3 ft deep I felt like I was wading in a kiddie pool. I went back to the upper pool, but they closed that bar! Oh well.

We love it here, too. If only the sea was a bit more calm. We live on the Gulf of Mexico in SW Florida, and it's like a lake there. Nothing like this. Sign up for the tequila tasting up at the JW Marriott on Monday night.

We arrived today. I actually love the ocean to have waves, it is much prettier IMO. Also, i do not find it rough, swimming is much more interesting. I am a decent swimmer though, I have swam in higher waves and I understand that not everyone is comfortable.. The pools at Lagunamar are amazing. I was standing today on the bridge between the main pools, there was blue everywhere I turned. So pretty.

The kids are lucky, today the turtles were released in the ocean. It was too dark for pics (no flash allowed), they do not want the birds to have a feast. The kids loved it.
We are in building 14, there is a bit more walking than from other buildings but not too much, the resort is rather compact. Measured in a straight line, the distance from the main reception is about 600 ft and probably about double when you walk

I'm wondering why they're not filling the pool - it's still about a foot low.

4:00 update 10/22 - the water is now starting to cover the tile deck and appears to be filling up.

Thanks, we don't drink but might take a look around the Marriott while there.

Better check if you can do that. The tasting is in a separate building with the jewelry store, not actually inside the Marriott.

We tried to sit by the main pool yesterday but were late coming out of our owner’s update. Oh well back to the smaller pool.

Well, as of today, 10/23 - the pool is FULL! Water level is up over the infinity edge, and the tile lounges are under water. I guess my story is now officially OVER!!!!

We just left our chairs at main pool ... main pool was great ... except for long trip from where we were to swim up bar.

I usually go to the bar by the towel hut because the swim up bar is such a mob scene. Is it me, or is the water a little yellower at that swim up bar?

Seeing that dark horizon out there makes me think of the days when people thought the earth was flat. I can imagine thinking I would just fall off the edge of the water. I can't believe I got this shot from my iPhone 6s.

Today it's about as calm as I have ever seen it here. So much nicer than last week. Even the red flags are down, which is unusual.
