[triennial - points]
Vacation Village At Parkway is where we caught the timeshare bug in 2002 -- took a sales tour there, were appropriately wowed, did not buy (too expensive).

As it happens, the car ride back to our dinky motel after that 2002 sales tour is where we spied the billboard advertising timeshare resales, providing in an instant the flash of recognition (that there's no such thing as a new timeshare) which led us to buy resale -- but that's another story.

Over the next 10-15 years, we stayed at Vacation Village At Parkway several times via RCI Last Call, etc., & enjoyed ourselves there. Eventually we bought a nice 2BR (resale) Vacation Village At Parkway triennial points unit, which we kept until we downsized to a nice 1BR triennial points unit at Grandview At Last Vegas -- about 1/2 the points for 50% lower maintenance fees. (Grandview At Las Vegas & Vacation Village At Parkway are both links in the same corporate chain.)

Vacation Village At Parkway is huge, & growing. All ownership there is 2BR lock-offs, which in reality are adjoining stand-alone 1BR units connected by a tiny vestibule off a main hallway. The older buildings feature adjoining "A" & "B" units. The "A" sides feature king beds & full kitchens. The "B" sides are smaller, with partial kitchens & queen beds. Both sides have in-unit washer-dryers.

The newer buildings featuring adjoining "A" & "C" units, both the same size & both the same in most respects other than the kitchens. "C" unit kitchens are described as "partial" because they lack stoves & ovens. Instead, they have independent cooktops & convection-microwaves.

Location is excellent -- right at the intersection of I-4 & U.S. Route 192, convenient to all the attractions on both sides of the Disney Gap. Construction is still going on. Timeshare sellers are still flogging full-freight sales. Timeshare tours (for freebies) are still being offered. The parking lots get crowded at night.

We still like Vacation Village At Parkway -- stayed in an "A" unit last January & have a partial-kitchen unit reserved via RCI for January 2019. The sheer size of the place means it frequently shows up at bargain rates via RCI Last Call & various special sales, so we gladly take advantage of those opportunities.

Vacation Village At Parkway resale units are offered both as straight weeks & as points units. The points units have varying points values based on demand season, but the maintenance fees are all the same for the high-, medium-, & low-season units -- 92,500 & 74,000 & 55,000, respectively -- so if you're buying a resale points unit, go for the most points because the fees are no higher for those units than they are for the units worth fewer points.

I inquired about 2 seperate units and they offered the BOGO. One week is #27 and the other is #38. I think they both carry the 92,500 points. They're paying all closing and transfer fees. For a $1.00.

Vacation Village At Parkway & Grandview At Las Vegas are known for providing the most points for the buck, contrasted with most other points timeshare resorts.

Although we have stayed close to a dozen times at those 2 timeshares combined, we've never checked in using our own paid-for time or our own points. We always go via RCI Last Call or some special sale on RCI Extra Vacation Getaways. On those few occasions when we've taken straight-points RCI reservations, it was always to go to some completely different timeshare.

You may want to double-check those points values. Week 38 is mid- to late-September, very low season in Orlando.
