Appreciate you sharing. Just as it is important for newbies to know what not to believe when they are in the purchase stage, it is important for those who have purchased and now want out to know that their options are limited (non-existent?) and to be wary of anyone trying to convince them otherwise.

In that article I like how attorney Michael Sacarro is trying to distance himself from the company by saying he will try to help people get their money back but that he had no official ties to the company. He is likely more involved than he wants people to believe. At least one lawsuit has him listed a defendant along with Dana Micallef, owner of American Consumer Credit.

These guys took advantage of my 87 year old mother a few years back. She paid them over $2k to "relieve her of her timeshare." I ended up getting her timeshare deeded back to the resort in a matter of a few weeks myself and filed a complaint with them. After a LOT of phones calls, emails and letters to Dana he finally refunded my mother the full amount about 10 months later. The things he said to me over the phone were unbelievable.
