I own at Craigendarroch. It's a fixed week, so a reservation for that week automatically shows up for me, approximately 2 years in advance. Until today, I couldn't cancel that reservation and get my points back online. I had to call in. No big deal, though slightly annoying.

Today when I logged in, I saw the "cancel reservation" button under my March 2020 reservation for Craigendarroch. So I did it, and it worked. Points are restored.

It appears they're still fiddling with the reservation engine. Occasionally, even to our benefit ;)

I thought you had to call and cancel event weeks, probably true for those who hold event weeks too. I don't own an event week, so I can't check, but perhaps someone who does can test this or tell me that they can already do this online.

I just checked my Surf Club and Charter Club automatic fixed-week reservations, and I still don't have the option to cancel online. But your post gives me hope it will be available someday!

Eagles Nest does not have the option either. Soon I hope.

Mine was different with Seapointe. I signed a form to opt in to automatically get my points put in my account. Worked like a charm this year as my 2019 points got added in January of 2018. I don’t have my 2020 points yet.

Seapointe is a little different because it is not managed by HGV.

From the current HGVC club traveler:

“Book More Properties Online

Hold the phone! By the end of this year, Club Members will be able to book more than 25 properties online. These properties are primarily in the Gulf and Atlantic regions of Florida as well as Scotland. Additionally, through Club’s relationship with SFX Preferred Resorts, Members will also be able to book Mexico properties online, plus Club Donatello in San Francisco.

For Club Members, this means you no longer have to call a Club Counselor to make reservations. Instead, simply log in to your Club Member website, search for the resort you are interested in visiting and determine which dates it’s available. Learn more about how to book a reservation via these instructions on the Club website.”

Does it mean that we would be able to book any SFX preferred resorts online (similarly to RCI) or just Mexico and Club Donatello?

Sounds like it. Very nice indeed although personally I find the HGVC points costs for the Vidanta resorts via this option to be prohibitively expensive. Better off depositing it with SFX and going that route, but I can see folks not wanting to go through that process.

The way I read it is that we will have online access to the Mexico and Club Donatello resorts (which are internally brokered though SFX), not full access to all SFX inventory. But we can still exchange through SFX via having an account and depositing with them.

I've had that option for my SW Florida resorts (Sanibel and Ft Myers Beach) for some time now. It really is much more convenient.
