EOY only pays MF EOY also?
If points is only goal, would it be significantly lower cost than an EY with 7000 pts?
I can only speak for HGVC, but yes, MF is EOY. However, you still have to pay club dues annually.
Re: lower cost, it still comes back to the MF for what you're buying, and how you plan to use it.
For example, we own Bay Club, 2 weeks even and 2 weeks odd, 2BR Plus unit platinum season. But for sake of example, lets say you buy that same unit 2 weeks even; ie, EOY. You will get 16,800 points in your bucket EOY, averaging out to 8400 points per year. MF on this unit at Bay Club was $1718 per week in 2018 So 2 weeks EOY would cost $3436 MF EOY.
Kingsland is a higher point structure overall - one week 2BR Premier platinum gives you 14,400 points for a MF of $1695.
If you could buy Kingsland for the same $ as Bay Club, it would be an easy choice - MF$/point in my example above is $0.20 for Bay Club and $0.12 for Kingsland. Bay Club is a little high as far as MF go, but we got such a great resale deal it will take some years to feel the pinch.
Here's a thread from last year that talks about pros/cons of EOY
