Given you enroll your affiliate week in the HGVC and you own a fixed week and have to call each time when you want to deposit it, what is the latest you can deposit you fixed week in HGVC’s system?

In order to not lose any points, an owner of a fixed week must cancel their reservation a minimum of 30 days before check in. If they cancel it less than 30 days out, the standard cancellation penalties that are in place for Club reservations kick in I believe.

That is what I was told. However...
In consideration of other HGVC'ers, I usually release my week at least 9 months out.
That way it will be available for booking at the start of the club-booking window.

I don't know if this applies to all affiliates, but for my SW Florida affiliates I don't have to call, I can do it online.

I freaked when, shortly after enrolling my affiliate, I got a reservation confirmation.
It seemed to come out of the blue. That was the one and only time I called about it.
They explained how it was automatic and I could cancel online.

I guess it depends on what locations you own. I own fixed weeks at Surf Club and Charter Club, and the reservations are made automatically about 2 years in advance, but there is no way to cancel those reservations online -- I need to call if I want my points instead.

I have a question on the affiliates and fixed reservations, south west Florida in particular. If you want to use only part of your fixed week are you able to make such a request and have the remaining points flow to your account? If you call to do this can they cancel your fixed week and book your shorter stay at the same time? I am just wondering how it works if you do not want to stay for the full week. It seems like you should be able to do this but I could see your week getting scooped up by another user before you manage to rebook the portion that you want unless it is done all at once. I presume it would need to be done in the 9 month window if it was possible. Just wondering for the high demand weeks.

At my affiliate, keeping your fixed week is treated like a home-week booking, and you cannot split it.
But if you cancel it and take the points, you can likely keep part of it as a club booking (if you want).
BTW, I've never kept my fixed week, preferring a different season, size, and 5-day stays.
