I've got a Citi Hilton Honors Reserve card (they have canceled with CitiBank, and are changing it to Amex in January, but that's not relevant for this). The card benefits are show as:

So, if I pay my HGVC MF with the card, am I getting the 10 or 3 bonus points?
Logically it should be 10, but until someone tries it with Doritos amount to test it out you don't really know.

My experience is only with the LV Blvd property. So the easy way to figure it out is to just pay $10 towards the MF and check your CC account online after a couple of days.

Also, as an update, I just paid another $100 with the same CC but this time not online, instead I called and paid over phone. I will update the status of that next week.

Thanks. That's helpful. Citi and Hilton are going separate ways at the end of the year, and a new Amex Hilton card is being sent out. So, I'll just wait until January to pay my MF and use the new Amex Hilton card and hopefully get the 12x credit.
I just cancelled Citi reserve and signed up for amex surpass to get 125k hh points. Based on my anniversary Citi credited about $50 back from my fee. Why do you want to lose the free sign on bonus if you decide to have amex surpass/ascend anyways.

I paid our MF with the Reserve card last year...originally got 3 points but when I called, they gave me the additional 7.

I have found the Citi Cards (Citi Prestige) to be more restrictive in what counts for the bonus categories. It really comes down to the way the merchant codes the charge and how the category is defined by the specific CC. I find the CSR to be very broad in what they accept.

So, the second $100 paid over phone did not get 3 points/$ either. I am waiting for a response from chase.

Did anyone get 3 points/$ from Chase Sapphire Reserve by paying MF for the LV BLVD property this year?

I am waiting for a response from Chase.

Chase's response will be that coding is up to the merchant and they have no control over that.
IOW, your beef is with whoever is running the CC payment system for that HOA.
They may point you to some fine print in the "terms of service" which says eggsactly that.

I don't understand this. I paid the rest of the MF online through AMEX Surpass CC, which identifies it as Travel, so not sure where the problem is. Is it "whoever is running the CC payment system for that HOA" or whoever at the receiving end...?
