We are sitting by the pool now, and even though the drilling noise is loud, we are happy they are drilling holes to install a bunch more palapas around the pool. This pool has needed more shade since the opening. So glad they are doing this.

Are they palapas we'll have to pay extra for sitting under? I hope not!

So glad to hear that! I wish more resorts would do the same.

If they are the thatched umbrellas as described in the Owners Update (they indicated 20 additional palapas are being installed), then these should be free. I agree this is a very welcome (and overdue) development.

Just returned from WKORN. Saw at least 9 new palapas on the south pool decks. As with the existing ones, they are free.

Reviving an old thread. I was curious if any recent visitors have noticed if it's any "easier" to secure space under one of the new palapas?

We were there in March and there was no problem as long as you were down at the pool by 10:00 a.m.
