A friend graciously offered us to share her Westin timeshare on not one but 2 trips (WKORV and WPORV). We loved the resorts and I was determined to find a way to stay there but without the high upfront timeshare cost or the high hotel cost. I discovered Tug and spent months researching and reading every Vistana post. Late last year I found a resale SVV Bella for $1000 and moved quickly to buy it. Our plans didn't allow travel in 2017 so we banked the SOs. Last week I was able to book a 2 bedroom lock off at WKORV for spring break 2018 (enough room to share the experience with family and/or friends). Westin's rates for that room for a week show a value of nearly $7000. My 2017, 2018 maintenance costs and purchase/closing costs are less than $4k. I will have recovered my entire investment (sic) handsomely on my very first trip. Thank you Tug!

Let me also echo that thanks. A few years (actually more then 10 years) ago we went to a presentation at SVV. Not knowing better we bought in. Fortunately, as soon as we got home we found TUG and rescinded. Since then we bought and sold a few SVV via resales and this year we are going to WKORVN for 6 nights in a 2 bdrm and 6 nights in Nanea in a 3 bdrm. We have more than covered our purchase costs in this and previous vacations and we are very happy that we found TUG! Thanks TUG!

I agree, thanks to TUG we too have bought several resale (became a little addiction in 2014 and 2015; I have since recovered and no more buying for me!). We now own 3 units in Vistana (194K+), 3 units in Hilton (10k+) and 2 units Hyatt (4000 pts) for less than 13K thanks to TUG and the valuable information provided by the members. We have been able to offer Hyatt Carmel to friends, vacationed in Hawaii in two bedroom suite with friends thanks to Hilton, reserved nine (9) units last summer at Westin Desert Willow for friends and have an upcoming trip to Vegas in a three-bedroom penthouse unit at Elara. We have recoup our invest three times + over. We are looking forward to many more memorable vacations. Thanks TUG.

I paid my TUG fees but thanks to this post just noticed that my profile says "Guest" - how do I fix this? I paid the fees on the tug2.net. Should transfer over, right?
