I have stayed in MC (1bdr) and HC (studio/hot room) for a week... both are great. MC size for 3 with the 2 full baths is unbeatable. HC with the lounge and breakfast & happy hour with snacks has it BIG upside, if travelling solo or as a couple.

Maz is absolutely RIGHT - MC location and size of 1/2 is unbeatable. As an exchanger, the lounge was NOT open to me (hence, no feedback known by me). The location next to the subway, a short block from Central Park ... is peaceful with lots of options. I did several theater shows that week.

I did very different things at HC - Top of the Rock Tour, Today show, 2 Jimmy Fallon tapings, city tour, the cathedral tour ... I believe I did some Fashion Week (Joan Lundon & her daughter book signing) things also (you have to know me to get that belly laugh ;)).

So, my husband has questions:

a) Are there added fees for breaking up the week into multiple short-stays?
b) How many stays are permitted for the 7-nights? (1n*7? 2n+2n+3n? etc)
c) Is the new owner guaranteed to maintain the 'Founder' benefits (specially the ability to break the week into multiple short stays)?

LOL ... we are just joking about this, I think. He knows this property has been on my "drool!" list for a rather long while. We were quite thrilled with a 6-night stay over Thanksgiving last year (booked through DVC) ... we had SUCH a great time.

a) No added fees
b) Sat has to be with another night Fri or Sun so yes you can do 2, 2, 3 or you could do seven 1 night stays (no Sat) or any combination that gets you to 7 with Sat nights having 2 nights required.
c) Yes I confirmed that all benefits transfer

I have exchanged into MC several times, and I was always able to use the lounge. No one ever asked us whether we were owners or exchangers. I love the tea and cookies in the afternoon.

We were at the MC last week in a one bed 2 bath unit. Our view was Carnegie Hall on the 17th floor. The location is great. We were a RCI exchange. We also had use of the 26th floor bar.

I've been there once myself on an RCI exchange and we went to the lounge and had cookies and coffee in the afternoons. It was nice.

My husband always says when we are in a place and we are really not supposed to be there.

if you act like you belong there no one will question you.:D
