New SLS Hotel & Casino is open on the Las Vegas Strip

Formerly the Sahara, the new SLS opened this week. We went down to check it out today and had lunch at The Griddle Cafe. Here is info about all the restaurants they have. It's a gorgeous property and they've done an outstanding job in the renovation.

Our lunch was great--my husband said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had. I had a chicken/bacon/avocado sandwich that was delicious. There is an extensive breakfast menu, too, that we'll go back and try another day.

What a great addition to the north end of the Strip!

I don't see the SLS on the Hilton web site.

My daughter is an executive with SBE the company that operates the SLS. It is not affiliated with Hilton to the best of my knowledge but I said that before reading the article you attached. I'll have to check with her and see what I can find out.

According to Hilton, it is. It's part of their new Curio Brand.

I didn't see anything about Hilton on any of the signage around the hotel and this is the first I've heard of it.

Since I have been declared by some, to be the "fount of all knowledge", (well at least one person I know called me that once!!! )I'd like to point out that I first reported the SLS/Hilton Curio connection back in this thread from June 19 of this year!

By the way, when you log onto HGVClub.com, you see the Curio logo in the center of all the different Hilton logo's along the bottom of the screen.

Sorry, I should have clarified, I am the fount of useless knowledge!!!

But, I think it's probably like the Tropicana, which is a Double Tree. No logo's just reservation and points affiliation. I don't know if the Trop does the cookie like most Double Tree's.
