Does anyone else do the Snapfish or Shutterfly hard cover photo books?

These books are so great. We have quite a collection of probably 12 books. And if you time your purchase and buy when they're having a sale, which is often, you can get a beautiful 30 page book that can contain 90 pictures for about $20. I'm not sure of exist page count and cost so this is an approximation but whatever it is I think they are really nice keepsakes and a great value as well.

Once owned these: FirstFairway@Walden X 2; Lawai Beach; ManhattanClub; PuebloBonitoRose; 4 South Africa--now timeshare-free
I've used Shutterfly before and liked them. I just made a beautiful book of pictures of our new granddaughter at Mixbook. Very happy with that company, too.

It's so easy to do these picture books online. They have great suggestions for layouts and the books come quickly.

I made a picture book of Jerry's life shortly after he died. I had pictures in it of him from about age five to age seventy. Some were of him alone, some with his parents, and his children. There were pictures with his coworkers from when he retired, pictures with his Channel 99 friends, and of course, pictures of the two of us.

I'm glad I did this. Four years later it still sits on the coffee table and I look through it from time to time.

My sister made a really nice Shutterfly hard bound book for me when I took her youngest son (age 12) to WDW. She personally did not think I would survive a whole week solo with him - with the Photo Pass pictures we posed for, she could see daily, he was having a great time. 2 months later when they were all back in the Florida area - he refused to use his Annual WDW Pass to return to WDW.

He still mentions he wants a return WDW trip with me.

I have used Snapfish. I am horrible with scrap booking, so when we went to Disney the first time, I made a book through Snapfish. It ended up being a good choice because with the sale, I was able to give each of my kids a copy as well. I made one for our last vacation and will be making one for my 10th Anniversry trip too. :) love it!

DW has made many. They all look great. We are more please with the quality of Shutterfly. Snapfish books don't seem to be as as well made and there have been issues with the printing. Though DW likes their regular photo paper printing better than Shutterfly.

Shutterfly also has great customer service. We had made two 100 page books of a trip to Hawaii. When they arrived, one had a problem where the binding was coming apart. DW called them and they ordered a new book. They didn't even want the problem book back for inspection. I believe Shutterfly is owned by or somehow affiliated with HP.

I think Costco does it. I haven't tried. I have used Shutterfly and they were loved by the people I sent them to.

I use Picaboo because I am used to the software. There is always a sale or deal if you subscribe to their mailing list. I usually have a book almost finished and when there is a sale, i'll spend an hour proofing it and the send in my order.

Remember to proof the pictures for editing and ensure the spelling is correct. I recently saw a family member's album that was titled Hawwaii.

I use both Snapfish and Shutterfly for photo books, mostly when they are on sale. Often you can pick them up free, for just the cost of S/H (around $8-$10). I always do one for my MIL as a gift after each trip we do together. She loves them.

When our dog Heidi had that health scare a couple of summers ago, I did one then to "remember her by" . . . not wanting to do it posthumously. I need to do a new one as she's still with us today :)

DW makes them, usually through Shutterfly When she can get a free deal. I got two free coupons for her from Best Buy when I made a couple of purchases in June. I don't know if they still offer them. For a time last year, Wyndham was giving out free coupons also.
She has also gotten one or two from Walgreens, but they tend to come apart.
The last one was just made and the subject is our trip to the Grand Canyon this past June.

last fall when we returned to Florida, they were giving out a free coupon at the welcome center from shutterfly. I never used it though, although I intended to.

One Christmas when my DD and her kids had come home, she had gotten a coupon for a free book from Shutterfly which she gave to me. The book came out beautiful ~ I tried getting some others thru CVS ~ they're nice ~ but no comparison to Shutterfly.
