Cool! There are not a lot of these chains nearby, but enough that I could manage 3 squares. I see some that offer veteran's specials all month- like 10% off the total bill at Outback during Nov.

Some want to see a DD-214, and others want military ID or VFW or AM Legion card will get 'er done.

I recently stopped in a Famous Daves BBQ for the first time, surprisingly good and reasonable, both food and drinks. This store does 10% vets discount every Monday as well as a vets day freeo for one entrée. I went back but forgot my dd214 however the manager accepted my USCG tattoo as proof. lol

I like when I go to Lowe's and ask to use the Veterans Discount and they ask me if my husband is a veteran and I have to reply that yes, he is but I am too! Now I am honored to have a new job at the VA as the Women Veteran Program Manager so I can help take care of my sisters who served!
