So I have done some searching on the resale part of TUG site. I have found a few that I am interested in. I have tried to contact the sellers by using the "email this member" button as well as texting to the phone # listed. I have not gotten any answers back. I am doing something wrong with trying to contact them? Is there a better way to get a hold of them? Is this common on the sales side of this site?
I had heard great reviews about all the benefits of this site so I decided to join and give it a shot. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Seems strange to me. How long ago did you write to them?

You have to jump on it quickly. Sellers often get offers in the beginning and ignore the rest. Try calling the phone numbers too.

It was published on 8/9. I had just started looking on this site recently and started sending messages like around the 3rd or 4th of this month I think it was.

yep, if no response after a reasonable amount of time (especially if you are calling....i would not suggest texts as its possible you are trying to text a land line)...send me the ad number.

I have communicated with sellers in quite a few ads looking for the right TS to purchase. Most have responded very quickly (a day or two max) but a few have taken weeks to respond. Why? They have been kind enough to explain that they were away using some TS weeks and had just gotten back when they noticed my email. Maybe it's my age now but I don't typically expect a quick response (perhaps because I seem to move more slowly now) and if I don't hear back I chock it up to the large number of inquiries they may be getting. Also, ads can be placed by people who join TUG just to access the marketplace and may not be regular members of the forum.

I made the mistake of posting a "wanted" ad a few weeks before we took off at the beginning of the year. Since it was our first trip after I had retired I left my laptop and tablet at home because "I'm retired, why do I need it". To my dismay, when we returned after a few weeks I noticed email responses to my ad and had to do some apologizing.
