New to ts. Why is silver season an ouch? Thanks

I bought this week (well, it was free....I just paid closing costs). Buy what works best for you. What one person needs in points, weeks or locations could be completely different from your needs. Yes, there are definite ways to minimize costs.....like picking up a freebie on Tug or Redweek. Good luck!

The other thing with low season weeks (in general - not just with a Hyatt) is that you can usually book a Getaway in II or the equivalent in RCI for much less than the annual maintenance fee.

Is silver that bad if I am going to use it at that time every year? For example, week 10 is our spring break. Also if it’s a 2bd 1400 points isn’t that still better then a platinum that’s 1240 points? Isn’t it the points that matter most? Silvers and bronzes are little to nothing to but and hold and up are thousands of dollars. Might be a good way to get into Hyatt.
new to Hyatt and making sure I understand

Since Hyatt concerts to points, you can use during points for that season. So you could get higher season and then use points to book 2 vacations instead of one.
