There is a long thread on the Facebook HRC page of folks complaining of people playing very loud music poolside. When they asked staff to step in, nothing was done. They also said that some at the pool were not HRC owners or renters, but claimed they had bought some kind of admission pass from the resort. Anybody had similar trouble? We are owners there and often trade other HRC points to go there. It is our favorite resort and have never seen such a problem, although we usually hang out at the adult lap pool. Check out the FB posts.

I saw that thread. Hopefully this doesn’t become the norm regarding day passes.

I read those comments as well, sounds like a real mess. Hyatt is telling people they don't sell day passes but an owner saw it as it was happening.. I'd be unhappy if it happened where we own.

We owned a small resort in Vermont. One year we went to our home resort and they were offering a summer program to residents of the town. They got to use the pool and tennis courts.
Everyone was cordial and got along with the guests.
I can see how this could get out of hand with over run of Day users. Don’t remember what it cost them but it helped the resort with expenses.

I sent a email to the resort manager and the board president requesting information about use of the facilities. We own two weeks and this is the first I heard about day usage, which I would find unacceptable.

I received a prompt response from the manager at Coconut Plantation regarding the day passes, but the kicker is the Limited county club program. It can only be used by owners that purchased thru the developer only and is 450.00 per year. I did email Rick Rudd, the Board of Directors president, but have not heard back.

Thank you for contacting me. Coconut Plantation does not currently offer day passes. We do however have an annual membership that can be attached to local deeded owner's called the Limited Country Club program. This gives the owner access to the property throughout the year, and they pay an annual fee in addition to their normal maintenance fees for the use. We have been limiting the program with blackout dates in order to maintain the facilities for our owners that are staying on site. These guests often drive on site, which may be the guests you saw arriving by car to the pool deck. Please feel free to contact me with any additional assistance I can provide.
Sincerely,
Reinery Martinez
Resort Manager
