My daughter, family and I are thinking of trying for an exchange somewhere at Wisconsin Dells. She has a 2year old, so if I start a search for 2021, he still will not be in school. We were thinking of going off season, however, does anyone know if the parks are all open after Labor Day? We like to travel the last week in August, first week in September when most kids are getting ready to go back to school, or have already started. Then she will also benefit from the holiday day at work if possible. Any suggestions?

The Wilderness Glacier Canyon - which is a Wyndham property- has inside waterparks that are open past Labor Day. It is delightful off-season. They usually have 3 of the 4 parks open on any given day.

But I think an exchange through rci even in late August/early September is unlikely.

Parks like Noah's Ark and Mt Olympus will be open through Labor day (all of August) but may move to weekends only in early September. Christmas Mountain would be a very doable exchange as are some others.

A two year old would enjoy the indoor pool at Christmas mountain but I recall that they always close it near end of August for maintenance. A two year old would have a good time at Lil Bumpkin, and probably Knuckleheads.

Thanks everyone. If we decide to go, our 2 year old grandson would be about 4 by then. Just looking for ideas where I can get 2 units for the same week.

We loved Glacier Canyon last year. The indoor and outdoor waterparks were so much fun. I'm not sure I would go there after Labor Day since all the outdoor water parks would be closed by then. There is lots to do at the indoor waterparks too for sure, but I enjoy outdoor waterparks more. I don't think I have ever seen an RCI exchange for there though at any time.

If you have Wyndham points or you can rent from a Wyndham owner instead of doing an exchange that would give you more options. If you look at the Glacier Canyon point chart the first couple weeks of June are High Season instead of Prime Season so its cheaper.
