I just saw a new one in my account.
Good from May 15-Sept 29.
Exchange Cost $299

Not much in it to interest me, as I already have my summer trips planned.
Maybe someone else will find something good.

I have 11 with 5 of them recently expired but extendable. I don’t even barely look at them anymore. Since the restrictions they don’t work for me much.

You used to be able to use them for much nicer properties and also be able to search any location on some and others at a certain day mark. It was called “grid free”. You can still find some good valuable use but not nearly how it used to be. For example I have used AC’s to trade into 2BR units at Marriott’s Oceana Palms and Marriott’s Ocean Pointe for less than $200. Can’t do that anymore. I guess after the economic rebound it didn’t make much sense to allow those exchanges into those types of units.

Not all AC’s are created equal. Most I get are worthless. The one we received for a deposit actually had “some” value and could be a usable option for an extra vacation.

I have several of them, but they are all different trading power. So one might better than the other.

This is a good option for family members who cannot really afford travel. We have a close relative who has a son with cerebral palsy. He loves to swim and loves the outdoors. Wyoming weather is not conducive for much of the year for any of those activities. I try to get them something warm for a week with those AC's. I am working on one right now, as a matter of fact, but their travel dates are limited, so it's been tough. They cannot take him out of school. I keep watching for Palm Desert. They would love Palm Desert, CA. They are a family of five + grandma (my aunt).

One of the AC's only gets stuff in studios, even though it says 3 bedroom. The other one gets great stuff, but so far not Palm Desert.

AC's used to be good within 59 days. Man, could you get some great stuff. You could search within 60 days and get anything. No choices, just enter your dates up to 59 days before and wow, anything there was yours.

I also use them for friends and family who don't really have money to travel. I've also used them for wedding gifts for family or kids of close friends. They are usually fine with a studio because they haven't been spoiled by two bedroom units yet :D

If I got back to my history with II - I can see DVC exchanges with ACs. Now, those were the days.

I use these a lot for just 2/3 night getaways to places we can drive to, especially in the summer. Price is still great
