Will an II villa up-size request match to a larger unit that’s still on the 24 day MVC advantage hold?

I recently used the II villa up-size request for the first time. I used an efficiency to request a 2Bdr at Manor club and was confirmed in about 48 hrs. I had not done an instant trade request before placing the OGS; however, after receiving my confirmation for the 2Bdr at MSE I did an instant trade to MMC. Seeing units available for instant exchange made me think I had simply requested something that was available and to wonder whether an up-size request can snag a unit that’s in a MVC 24 day restriction.

With the changes in upgrades charges I'm not sure if II has changed their algorithms but historically the trade power AND resort rating had to match within limits. My take is yes, it'll match, but is subject to where you are in line in terms of trade power. However, I've seen tons of examples of units that made it out of the 24 day hold period and matched to other non Marriott's while someone were searching for that exact option with a smaller unit and/or lower rated resort.
