Was this lady drinking? :)

HGVC was originally wholly owned by Hilton but was spun off some time ago as its own publically traded company. Haven’t heard anything about it being bought out. That would have been major news.

Was the lady told this in a sales meeting? We know lots of truths come out from those meetings.

No, it's not true. She probably got confused about BlackRock increasing their stock ownership in HGVC. See below news release from today:

"BlackRock Inc. grew its holdings in Hilton Grand Vacations Inc (NYSE:HGV) by 14.1% in the 2nd quarter, according to the company in its most recent filing with the SEC. The firm owned 4,037,843 shares of the company’s stock after buying an additional 497,595 shares during the quarter. BlackRock Inc. owned approximately 4.17% of Hilton Grand Vacations worth $140,113,000 at the end of the most recent quarter."

In 2007, Hilton Hotels was bought and taken private by Blackstone.
At the time, HGVC was a wholly owned division of Hilton Hotels.
Blackstone did an IPO in 2013, but kept kept 76% of the shares.
In 2017, Hilton made HGVC an independent company.
Blackstone sold its remaining shares in Hilton+HGVC last Spring.

I find no indication that Blackstone or anyone is acquiring HGVC.
It's doubtful they be developing new resorts now if that were true.
