Need 4-5 nights on Maui in February 2019

My DH wants to head to Maui earlier than our timeshare week. Any suggestions on the best way to stay 5 extra nights during peak whale season? Is the Westin Nanea doing any promo stays that anyone knows about? He wants a place on the beach with nice pools. Thanks for any ideas.

Nanea is definitely doing some specials because we have friends who stayed 5 nights, and it was only like $599 for them. I know they don't own at all. And when they went, they didn't even have to attend the sales presentation, so how is that okay?

I looked yesterday. I didn't see any promo deals, but I'll check again.

finding a promo deal during whale season is extremely unlikely given it's less than 6 months away and the super high demand during that time.

I got the Westin offer also, but you need to add the resort fee and parking, if I remember correctly. Though mine did include a car. Worth contacting them.

You could also just rent another week and/or points. If not a points owner, then have the owner book them for you via sites like: https://vacationpointexchange.com

I called VSE and they said the promos are by invitation only. I'll look into just renting another week (so unlike me to rent! I need to buy another week now ). Has anyone rented at Honua Kai before? And if so, any comments on how that all went?
