The news that came out yesterday in the HGV Club Traveler that the SW Florida affiliates will be bookable online by the end of the year will make these more interesting for us, and we'll certainly start browsing these for availability. I'm not a fan of constantly calling in to check availability and having to filter the data through a customer service associate, so these resorts being unavailable online has been a non-starter for us up until now. I understand availability can be spotty at best, and the launch of online access will probably exacerbate that limited availability even more by making it easier to shop. But I do have a couple questions:
1) For those who have been able to book these properties, how do they compare in quality, furnishings, amenities, etc to regular HGVC owned and managed resorts? Are they on par with regular HGVC or are they more like typical RCI Gold Crown resorts that may be "nice" but a notch below HGVC?
2) If there is anyone that is familiar with Eagles Nest and Charter Club on Marco Island as well as Marriott's Crystal Shores, how would you compare the two HGVC-affiliated resorts with Marriott's Crystal Shores in location, furnishings, amenities, etc.
