I just did an exchange into a 2BR/2Bath villa at Sheraton Steamboat that sleeps 6 and it looks like it's only 760 sq. ft. which is smaller than a premium 1BR at Sheraton Mountain Vista. Has anyone seen these villas and know if they will work for 4-6 people? Apparently they converted hotel rooms to timeshare units. I've never heard of a 2BR unit that was this small.

Where do you see the reference to 760 Sq ft? I have an exchange confirmation for the Sheraton Steamboat and I don't see any

It's not on the exchange confirmation but I noticed it said the unit has an 11 cubic ft. refrigerator which is tiny so I called the resort. They directed me to the villa description on their website and said this was a 2BR Villa which is 780 sq. ft. I asked if they had a lot of disappointed customers who were thought they were getting the 1,600 sq. ft. villa and she said admitted that this has happened a lot. She said the villas are small but brand new and very nice. There's floor plan on the website.

This is the layout from the Vistana website. Although the bedrooms are small, it looks like 4 adults would be comfortable in these condos. Probably it would be very tight for 6.

We toured the units last March. They were new and beautiful but yes, smaller. Other thing to note is no fireplace, and I don't think they have ovens. The second bedroom barely fits the queen bed, but works for sleeping. I would agree that 6 might be tight if you spend much time in the unit but ok for sleeping.
