Reviews are very old, has anyone been here that can give me some updated info on the resort. We booked a week thru RCI for August to escape the Florida heat for a few days.

Thanks,
Suzanne

There is a TUG review dated 4/8/2017.
We haven't been the past two years, but we are checking in again this coming Saturday. We like the place. It's well located for doing a variety of activities, the scenery is lovely, the golf convenient and well priced. There are many great places to eat. Waynesville is nearby with shopping and dining. The weather is so much cooler there than it is at home, that it's a welcome respite.

Thnk you so much. Could I ask you to find out if any of the 2 bedroom units have a queen bed in 2nd bedroom and let me know. My brother and his wife are not thrilled about having to sleep on twin beds.
Thanks again for responding.

The second bedroom has twin beds -- why not do as you would on a cruise ship and push the beds together?
Yes, Asheville is about 40 miles from Maggie Valley. VERY easy to spend the day there. We've done Biltmore, done the hop on hop off bus tour, gone there for dinner and shopping, etc. It is a GREAT city. Has a huge artistic influence and many galleries and studios there. It's also a great beer destination!
We love that area.

We checked in yesterday to our "cabin" here at Peppertree Maggie Valley. Everything has gone very smoothly and we are enjoying the cool temperatures and beautiful scenery. Our unit is perfect for us.
It's not "fancy," but it is very comfortable, convenient, clean, and, really, exactly what I want here in the North Carolina mountains. I posted a couple of photos I snapped yesterday after we checked in. We're in an upstairs unit -- Love It.

Arb, thanks for those two (2) photos. I loved to looked at all those green trees on the mountains; that is so relaxing..The mountains of the Western part of North Carolina are beautiful and that sky blue is a heavenly color, IMHO.

Enjoy your week in NC.:hi:

We're enjoying the good temps, golf, and scenery now. Today, the temp was 71F at 10 am.
Here's the view from our lunch table at the Maggie Valley Club, which adjoins Peppertree. Also a shot of the golf course this morning.

Hi Carol, hope you enjoyed your stay at the Peppertree Resort. My brother would like to stay in one of the round units next month. I plan to call ahead to request a 2nd floor unit in one of them. How far are they from the swimming pool? We prefer not being close to the pool area. How is the food at the Golf Club restaurant? Since we are arriving in late afternoon we may want to have dinner there.

Thanks for all your help.

Suzanne

When we were there they were experiencing a terrible drought. My drives are usually 150 yards tops, but I hit one about 380 there, downhill and past the green, no grass to stop it.

Hi Suzanne, the round buildings are downhill from the pool at the Maggie Valley Country Club pool -- you get privileges there.
We had a great time last week. The weather was perfect. So nice to be cool in the day!
The food at the Club restaurant is EXCELLENT. Plus you get a 10% discount if you show your Peppertree key.
Don't worry about a place to eat when you get in. Nothing is very far away. Still you may want to sit on the veranda at the club and enjoy views of the golf course and mountains. Divine.

Actually, Buildings 1-12 surround the 3rd green and 4th tees. The first floors are numbered 1-12 with an A after the numbers, and the upper floors are 1-12 with PH after the numbers.
