Trying to help a friend who wants to sell his HGVC Sea World 2bd Gold Week 20 deeded 5k pts. What is the best reseller to use for HGVC besides Redweek ?Who pays for what closing costs? Hilton has ROFR.
Its been a few years since I sold a couple of weeks and have forgotten the details. I know prices seem to have dropped even for branded resorts.

Thanks to all......

I contacted brokers on those site and received very good information on Hilton. FYI- Brokerage fees were $1000-$1500 so depending on the sales price a seller may net very little but the market is what it is. The seller pays a small estoppel fee.
Thank you again!

Wow, for that much, I'd just list it on TUG/Redweek and use LT Transfers to handle the rest of the paperwork for a few hundred bucks.

If you're going to net little or nothing, I'd probably just give it away on Tug and get the seller to pay the fees. That's what I did recently with an extra sheraton desert oasis eoy week. It was probably worth a few hundred dollars, but by giving it away I had a deal in hours instead of months.

For a Hilton Gold week, maybe try and sell yourself first at a discount to broker prices? I

I agree if it were my week I would list it myself and sold two weeks a few years ago with Tug members advice on what to do.

I own Marriott and have enjoyed learning how HGVC works within the system and thru RCI. He can do a lot more than I can because I have a fixed week. Destinations is a great Marriott program but not in my case.

IMHO it would be too stressful for the owner to deal with the details himself but we shall see.

Another FYI with Hilton you have free RCI membership. Those RCI rights end with the sale. If you have banked points in RCI you forfeit them unless you have a booked week.

Hilton
Seller pays estoppel and broker fee.
Buyer pays closing costs plus the transfer fee $399. Then $599 fee to join Hilton pts program and $170 to use club points.

I hope this helps other members.
