Last year, we stayed at the Sheraton in Panama City Beach. As Gold Status Members of SPG, we received free breakfast each day. We will soon be staying 5 nights at the 4 Points Jacksonville Beach Resort. I am not sure what to expect with the changes in SPG but can we with current Gold Status expect to get free breakfast at this resort also?

After August you won't get free breakfast anymore with SPG Gold. I believe you had free breakfast last year due to the interim Marriott status match. In the new combined program, only Platinum gets breakfast.

I’ve been gold/platinum for well over a decade, and free breakfast is just for platinums. There may be exceptions at certain properties, but I’ve never received breakfast as a standard amenity as a gold SPG member.

I have received club access as gold at some hotels (which offers an included continental breakfast), but not all. I had it last week at the Sheraton in San Juan and it was great.

Good point. Gold gets lounge access at Marriott properties which I assumed that was what OP was referring since you can get a full breakfast at the lounge, variety depends on location. However, he mentioned Sheraton and I have been to some Sheratons where Gold did have lounge access but the breakfasts had been very limited.
