I am not sure i understand how the TDI for II is determined. I see for example Hawaii at 13

Who knew the British Isles were so popular?
Could it be the weather? (no) The food? (no) The beer? (maybe)

TDI number next to it has no relevance to trade demand as it is simply an identifier for a region.
it does make sense now, i was trying to wrap my head around this. It did not make sense that UK was higher than Hawaii, also that a whole region would be attributed the same trading power. thanks everyone for the answers

I opened up this same question a while ago, and a theory was proposed that (for me) seemed plausible, but, the II book clearly states it has no significance. It does not have any. The way it is placed though, does encourage some to speculate (like I did). I still think it's a bad design.

We were there last Sept/Oct...in Wales (Wye Valley) & the Cotswolds. We found the food considerably better than it's reputation and the people & scenary delightful. Enjoyed everything so much we are returning this Sept/Oct. (Still have many pubs, ales, and beers to sample)

Yes, my comments were 'tongue in cheek'

I've had some delightful meals in the UK; I like ESB and Boddingtons and 'ol Speckled Hen.
My Goodness! Don't forget my Guinness as well.
There are some amazing cathedrals and some amazing converted churches that have become Pubs. Marvy one in Glasgow, N. London and Prestwick.
Plus, Did Dublin on Easter on the anniversary... Amazing time in an amazing city. Wonderful selection of Irish Whiskey and great fish n chips.
We often stick to common pub food (curries, fish, Sunday roast, bubble/sqeek) but love the Indian and other Asian foods available too.

I've had a great time in the UK on my last few visits. I've found the peeps to be mostly friendly and, if slow to chat, more interesting than some of their Intl. counterparts.
Can't wait for my Scotland trip (TBD) Distillery tours is my goal...
