I picked up an EOY-odd sale from the bargain list on Tuggs in October, 2016.
Wyndham deposited the points in my Gold account yesterday. So I have two months to use the 168K points.
My questions -
1- the website now only shows these 168K points, both now and in the future. No mention of my existing points, although the cotrat numbers are still listed. Is that a typical Wyndham accounting error that corrects itself in a couple days?
2- my use year is April to April for my other contracts. Does Wyndham adjust the EOY contracts to that start date, or leave that one contract as January to January?

You probably will need to get with Wyndham to get issue number one fixed.

Wyndham will adjust use year automatically. The key is making sure they adjust your points when they do this. They will extend the use date of existing point to the end of the year. That will leave you a adjustment on points of 75% of point total. You will have to call to have them do this.

And they do not always adjust the points. They are not consistent in how they handle the use year adjustment. Sometimes they don't adjust the use year at all. Or they do it later. And they may or may not choose to give you some prorated points. I think your best chance at getting the prorated points is to proactively call as soon as possible (and if they haven't adjusted the use year, remind them to do that and prorate your points). But no guarantee you'll get those prorated points. I've lost several million points due to WYN's inconsistent policies.

There are also rules about some contracts have to have Jan-Dec use years. For example, converted weeks must have a Jan-Dec use year. Due to a small converted week (resale) contract I picked up, my 1.4M developer points with April-Mar use years were adjusted to be Jan-Dec use years with no proration of points. I could not pick my use year, it had to be Jan-Dec due to the converted week.

A check of my account today shows that Wyndham now has all of my points showing - old Apr-Apr points as well as the newly transferred Jan-Jan. No movement yet.
Since it is late in the year, I would much rather push the new points to April rather than pulling the old points back to Jan. I am assuming if they push out in time, there is no prorating of the new points that pushed out?
