Hello: We just exchanged into this resort for a week next year-into a two bedroom unit. We are having trouble figuring out which room we exactly have as there are several accommodation levels at this location.

Exchange paper shows (2) king bedrooms and list UUUL2 as room category.

Here is an overall list of the two bedrooms.

http://www.vidanta.com/en/resort-hotels/grand-luxxe/riviera-maya/accommodations

Here is the one we think we have as it matches the II confirmation the closest-with room contents and description. Plus we are definitely in the residences.

http://www.vidanta.com/en/resort-hotels/grand-luxxe/riviera-maya/accommodations

Please let me know if you have any info or experience at this property. Thank you!

Mrs. Vker was able to track it down-speaking directly to the resort. (2) means 2BR. (L) means loft. She's pretty happy.

Congrats! We are looking to exchange into this resort. Can I ask how long you waited for the exchange?

It was an instant exchange. (This was the only 2BR listed. The rest were 1BR.) My wife just found it looking through things on II last weekend. We used a One Bedroom Aruba Surf club to get it. Good luck!

I am guessing that II charged an extra $99 for the second bedroom and you will pay $11/day per person over 12 years old.
Still a great trade and property. Will be there on an II trade next month.

Whatever you do, don't get a 3BR unit. They are too big!

That info is on the actual PDF Certificate. The code is next to Unit Number field.

Correct, we had already paid that though as we had traded to an Orlando property then retraded to Grande Luxxe.

Thanks. Very interesting. My confirmation just says Junior next to number field. I went back to look at the one we got when we went 2 years ago and that just said 2BD. Wonder why it is different?

Our II confirmation says Unit Number MYVILLA -- any idea what this means? I am guessing MYVILLA = could be anything, and we will be happy with what we get, but we like this property and it would be nice to know what the codes mean...

The suites are smallish, but larger than any suites we have seen elsewhere. The sitting area is separate from the bedroom.
The 2BR units are the largest we have enjoyed anywhere. Take away the attached suite (lock-off), and you have the largest 1BR unit you likely ever have.

Vidanta has great resorts, but watch out for the sales force. They were (twice) the most brutal and lying of any we have ever encountered. And the gifts they promise do not always get delivered.

Did you find out the code after you booked? So it was random?

Vidanta assigns units at check in to all - owners and exchangers.
since it is a RTU ,float week / float unit, format - for all of their brands and locations.

MYVILLA - as unit number may just be a placeholder code / since I assume some II confirmations give an actual unit .

Thanks T-Dot Traveller. I figured as much on all counts. II sometimes gives very specific codes, but "MYVILLA" seemed about as generic as one could get.

Could be a villa unit instead of a suite.

My II confirmation reads the same as

Would this suite have the plunge pool on the balcony as shown in the 1 bedroom suite description on the Vidanta website??

We had a plunge pool when we were there (twice). But don't expect to have a view. You will almost surely be on a lower floor. We were told that upper floors, where you can see out over the jungle, are reserved for owners.

I agree and the packs of coatimundi running by in the morning put on a show!
Be careful if you try to feed them. They may try to climb up your legs to get the food you offer, and their claws are sharp.

Lol, no I definitely didn't try to feed them. The large packs of females and their young are fun to watch.
