Are guests at Nanea allowed to use pools at the two WKORV resorts?

Our unit code is YYY2. Does anyone know its meaning?

Thank you.

We just got back from WKORV-N and went back and forth between those pools and WKORV. No one checked us to see if we were registered guests during the week. I suspect they will use the same towels at all of the resorts along with the same pool towel cards - so probably unlikely they would go out of their way to check which resort you are actually registered at.

Was all of the exterior work completed at Nanea?
All landscaping done, all pools and facilities open and no outside construction?

I found the following at the bottom of the amenities page on the Vistana website - https://www.vistana.com/destinations/the-westin-nanea-ocean-villas/amenities

In addition, the amenities of The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas and The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North are available for use. Resort amenities are subject to change.

A couple of the buildings didn't have siding completed yet. It looked like the pools and play areas have been completed but there is still construction equipment there and a few minor landscaping issues to take care of. I should have grabbed some photos but left my cell in my room safe. The concierge at WKORV-N said they are doing a "soft-opening" on April 15 which she believes means people can stay in a villa but all the onsite amenities won't be available.

Part of the issue with Nanea for awhile will be the beach. It isn't nearly as nicely groomed with significantly more brush and is much rockier the the beaches further south. Will take some time to get that in shape.

Interestingly, the bottom of both WKORV and WKORVN Amenities pages indicate the following respectively;

I guess guests at the older properties can't use the amenities at Nanea?

Not correct. The resorts have reciprocity.

I was just there for a preview today and did see guests from the older resorts there (due to the different color towels). Nanea resort towels are blue/white and the older two are beige/white. I had asked the sales rep whether the older towers can use their facilities, and he said yes.

Nice video and pictures - did you take any pictures of the model unit?

Yes, but as the drone video shows, they're quite a bit of a walk between them. Not sure if I'd hike up there just to sit around a pool.

Speaking of the pool, it looks very nice, but I wonder if it'll be large enough to accommodate everyone. The other complexes have a main pool and then one or more satellite pools.

I agree, looks like a huge complex for only the one pool.

I believe the land between the resorts is a public park, public parking and public beach access. It really isn't far between the resorts. We walk to Duke's all the time which is a little further north.

The land between the North and Nanea is a permanent public right of way/park with a parking lot and path for beach access. It is not supposed to be built upon.

They did build restrooms/changing facilities in the middle of the park last year. We saw it at our September visit.

Just to clarify:
As the PP pointed out, Kekaa Park (with facilities) is adjacent to Nanea (Southside)
Also, there is a permanent "Drainage Easement" on the North side of WKORVN that abuts Kekaa park.

The drainage easement is to allow for flood waters/sewage plant to have a clear flood path (or so I've read). Both are deeded as permanent....
The compilation at bottom is my 'artist concept' mish-mash of all three resorts and the park and easement.

(Stole one of these from Denise...)
