Could some Ocean Pointers help refresh my memory about the building numbers at Ocean Pointe? I think Kingfish is 8 and Pompano 4, but I't trying to get the scheme straight.

Also some info about which room numbers are the Ocean Front rooms at the four legacy buildings ( I assume 01 and 02 are ocean front ). Not sure at all about Kingfish.

In any case, your help is greatly appreciated.

The registration building would be the 7000 building, explaining the jump from 8000 to 6000 when going from Sailfish to Dolphin.

We own a 3 bedroom ocean front unit. I can't say how the room numbers are laid out but this is our unit number from one of our stays in the Sailfish building. Eight is the buidling number, five is the floor number and 12 the unit number. So we were in building 8, 5th floor unit 12.

Begining at the top left corner of the picture above, I believe the numbers are 01,02,03 ect.... with Studio units having their own numbers. All units are LO units and there is one two bedroom unit shown that does not have the line indicating where the studio unit should be. However if you count the balcony's you'll see there are 20 units to be numbered.

This is the number of the two bedroom master suite of a three bedroom ocean front unit in Kingfish.

And this is the Kingfish building layout.

By counting unit's I can't figure out which direction they begin counting from. I'm assuming lower right hand corner is 01 but, no matter how I count it I can't get to 12 by counting the number of units. Likewise it doesn't work in reverse. We'll be there in November and have requested Kingfish as our first choice Even if we're not assigned to Kingfish, I might walk down and take a look. I'm sort of curious about it now.

Doug,

Thanks a million. Your own fine photo galleries certainly came in handy in helping me ( and I went right through some of those photos a few weeks ago without thinking about those room numers  ). Likewise, thanks for the info about specific room numbers. I threw out my own plot plans that had all of the individual room number info when we purchased years ago.

For everyone's info, I'm pouring through the deeds for all Ocean Pointe and Oceana Palms sales in 2009 -- actually I have completed my data gathering for 2009. I'm also going to look at 2008 data as well.

Your eyes get a bit bleary after a while, but as Jake and Elwood said, "I'm on a misson for God" -- well not exactly, but I am trying to help myself and other owners gage where we all stand in this foggy timeshare economy at these two resorts

I've actually learned quite a lot at this early stage, but I want to keep on plugging as I try to take the pulse of what is really going on at these two resorts. I'm by no means an expert or a financials analyst. But I am a motivated owner who is in this thing for the long haul & I'm trying to see where these two resorts stand at the moment.

So if folks can nail down the room numbers for those 2BR & 3BR ocean front units at Ocean Pointe -- looks like I simply need the numbers for the other side of the hall. Also decoding Kingfish between Oceanfront, inlet view, and ocean view is much appreciated.

It would also be helpful if anybody can say what current developer prices for all seasons at both resorts have been running as well as what prices were the beginning of the year or last year as well.

Can't say how long it's gonna take me to mine out the 2008 data, but once I have that and the ocean front versus ocean side data for Ocean Pointe, I'll be able to share what I learn.

Thanks, Doug, for the pix.
Doug is right w/ the building numbering & unit numbering except for Dolphin units where they flipped the numbers. So, for example, Sailfish 8714(main) & 8715(lockoff) would be Dolphin 6708(main) & 6707(lockoff). And, I am wondering if Doug's pix of the Sailfish floor plan only goes to the elevator. If so, then the units beyond the elevator are not on it.

It's the entire floor plan. If you look, you can see the stairs to the left and then the elevator bank in front of that.
