I have a 2 bedroom lock off, breaks down to a 1 bed and a studio.

Im not sure how whats best, or even if i can do this? Ive heard people syaing they have booked their weeks at their resort, then deposited those weeks with RCI or II when they have floating weeks (like we do).

I have always just called the resort and told them to deposit it, and they picked the week.

I didnt know I could pick the week to deposit.

SO ...

What do I do? Do I call them a book the week, then tell them to deposit that week that I booked?

OR, do I call them and just tell them to deposit my float week?

CONFUSED!!!

Leaving Nothing To Chance . . .

. . . we book a specific lock-off week, then we call RCI & deposit that actual week.

Some resorts let you reserve then deposit that reserved week. Some resorts do what is called "Bulk depositing" and don't allow you to deposit a reserved week. They pick a week which is "Bulk deposited".

Normally, if you can reserve the best week and deposit that, you'll do better than having the resort pick the week to deposit but that may not be possible.

One Of Ours Does, One Doesn't -- So It Goes.

Just found out, I cant separate my lock out for depositing. Now I just have to pick a week to deposit.
At 1 of our lock-off timeshares, RCI lets us deposit either side separately, or both sides separately, or the whole thing together.

At the other timeshare, just across the street, if we separate the lock-off components only the larger unit can be deposited with RCI, so over there our choice for depositing is the whole works together or just the larger component, saving the 1BR "B" unit to use ourselves or rent out.

So it goes.
