Hi I tried a search on this and found that the Sequel units are obviously newer. The choice for next June is a 2BR in the Fords Colony units or an efficiency in Sequel. We are obviously leaning towards the 2BR.

Are the Sequel units nicer than the original or vice versa? Any major differences in the units?

Thanks.

There are several posts on this subject here on this board. The overall feeling seems to be that the 2 bd in the original sections is nicer than the 2 bd in the sequel.

BUT if you're buying, the original units are all 2 bd units. With the sequel, you get 2 bd lock-offs, and therefore the ability to lock off and use (or trade) the other side.

So because of that, many people pay more to buy into the sequel than the original.

To me, staying in a 2BR over an efficiency would more than compensate for any small differences in the decor and appointments. JMHO.

In most cases the original section of Ford's Colony also will enable you to enjoy better views of the grounds surrounding the buildings. Request a higher floor with a golf course view if at all possible.

I have pictures of the 2 bedrooms on the orginal side. Just click the link in my signature and you'll find them. It is a beautiful place. I liked the set up of the building on the original side as they are more condo type. The sequel side had more a high rise feel to it. Good luck..

P.S. My pictures might be a bit dated as I think, they updated the counter tops by now. We went in 2004.

Nice pictures but all the orginal unts have now been refurbish.

This is a very laid back resort on a golf course.

How New is the "New" Sequel section?

When was the original section built? How old is the sequel section now? Are there any sleeps 8 in the original section?
