Has any one been to the presentation by Lawrence welk, about the new Mt. view timeshare.
I am an owner there , so they invited us to up date us on the changes at Welk. We new that most of the presentation was about the new unites. They offored to take our unit and we pay them 4,000 for 24000. points, plus give them another 7000 points for 60,000 more points.
We said thanks but no thanks. I was surpise on how many people did jump at the chance . I think it was as a way to get our unit and us pay them.I see no reason to do that.I own the older side and I can use RCI or II, The new units can only use II. Welk kicked RCI off welk site.I wonder what really happen their. I know the minute someone who owns a mt view drops that in to II I will have a change to exchange into it, and welk can not stop that. Plus their points are to high.
Thank you

Hi Linda,

Was that $4,000 for 240,000 points or for just 24,000 points as you stated and then another $7,000 for an additional 60,000 points? This was in addition to giving up your fixed week at LWR? Correct?

This would seem more resonable an offer from them instead of $4,000 for 24,000 points which wouldn't be enough to reserve much of anything there.

Thanks

Hi you are right it was $4,000 for 240,000 points and another $7,000 for additional 60,000 points.
I see that you had done that, may I ask why?

I bought directly into the Platinum Points program without selling an LWR unit and I also like to keep track of current pricing and offers.

BTW, we love the flexability and value of the PP program. If you don't own a prime fixed week or location at LWR, you may want to revisit your decision.
