I am considering a resale on this unit and it states it is Unit B07, Week 04OD - Floats 1-52.

Does this mean Float time only ...or you have that week 4, but the option to ask for other times? How hard would it be in a float time to get anytime in the summer? Do you go to the bottom of the list of the owners with summer fixed weeks?

This is a Wyndham resort now so I moved your post to that board. For lots of good info use the search function to search for the resort by name.

You have to make a reservation at 12 mos. out - the weeks are not fixed - they are floating as far as the week, but fixed as far as view.

I would not buy in building B because it is about as far from the ocean as you can get in this resort. If you don't buy a unit in one of the ocean front buildings, you cannot make a reservation for OF either. Bldg. B is either lagoon view or garden view.

Ginny, the timeshare you're considering is deeded as week 4, but the usage is floating any week of the year. That means when you call to reserve your week, you can choose any week of the year you want.

As Denise mentions, there are several different "views" available at KBV - lagoon view (that's facing the central area and swimming pool area of the resort), garden view (that's basically the parking lot) and ocean view (obviously, that faces the ocean.) The type of unit you own will determine which kind of unit you're assigned when you stay there.

As I read the resort map, unit B7 is a two-bedroom lagoon view unit. If that's right, then when you reserve your use week, you're guaranteed a two-bedroom lagoon view unit, but not necessarily unit B7. There are many two-bedroom lagoon view units there.

You can walk out to the ocean from anywhere on the property, but if you want the best views from inside the unit, buy an oceanview unit. That way you'll alwys be guaranteed an oceanview unit when you stay there. I own both, and am in process of selling my lagoon view unit, because the ocean view is the one I prefer. In fact, I'll be there in just 62 days! Yay! :cheer:

Hope this helps,
Dave

I believe all the units in the B building are 2 bedroom, thus they are all lagoon view. But the other side of the B building does have what I consider a nice mountain view, too. The B building is farthest from the ocean, but it is close to the pool. If they ever renovate the pool, that might be nice to have. There are only 3 ocean view buildings, but non of the 1 bedroom/1 bath units are ocean view. We've never stayed in our "assigned" units yet. I haven't really found a location I don't like (but have never stayed in a 1 bedroom/1 bath--which are all parking lot view, I mean "garden view"). If I had it to do over, I would probable go for the ocean view rooms, but I certainly enjoy the other units, too!
