I'm flying to Buffalo, New York and would like to drive across the Canadian Border to Toronto...does anybody know if this allowed with a rental car and if their are "any" additional coverages required???:) :)

It depends on the company, but the answer is often "yes". Here, for example, is a Q&A from Hertz:
Question
Do you allow for vehicles to be driven into Canada?

Answer
Yes, any US citizen or International resident can drive a car into Canada... However, you will need to have proof of citizenship, the Hertz contract and your driver's license with you when you cross the border.
Whether you elect to take any insurance coverage for a U.S. rental is up to you. However, you should check with your own insurance company to determine what coverage you would have in Canada.

I've done this exact same thing. Used Budget, I think. Allowed, w-no add'l coverage.

The border guard asked our plans and we said, "To see the Byan Adams concert at the Molson Amphitheatre." He said, "Wow. Wish I could go."

Yes, we have done it more than once, from Seattle to Vancouver, but just make sure it's allowed by the rental car company you choose.

Us too

We also have crossed from Washington to Vancouver with no problem. Make sure you have an insurance card from your carrier with you. Also make sure you tell the rental company where you will be staying in case there is any need for them to contact you.
