I understand that summer is very popular, as well as holiday weeks when school is out of session, in Hawaii. I've been to Hawaii during Memorial and Labor Days and it's been slow. Is the same true for Presidents Day in February, or is that busier?

I made a reservation for WKORV during Presidents Day and was told all the Premium 1-Beds were unavailable, so that made me start to wonder if it was going to be crowded that week. Thoughts?

Ken, week 7 in Hawaii has a TDI of 170. That is on par with the July TDI.
So, yes, it should be crowded, if travel remains consistent with past patterns.
The variable is how airfares may influence travel this time.

Thanks, Fred. That's what I was worried about - so I just pushed it forward a week. Now I'm on a quest for frequent flyer seats...and it doesn't look good...

It's good that you changed your week, Ken -- many schools on the West coast have mid-winter break the week of President's Day. I think Labor Day and Memorial Day may not be as busy since they are only 3 day weekends, too short for a trip to Hawaii.

What's TDI? Sorry, I'm a newbie. :)

Yeah, I should have known better. FYI, I was told all unit sizes are available the week after Presidents week - that's a good sign for me! But no go on the award flight seats so far (and I'm really trying to burn my miles...) :(

We had no problem booking in for Week 8. We were able to use an Alaska "buy one ticket get, get one for $50" that comes with our Alaska credit card, but could not then use FF miles to upgrade - all first class seats are already booked, it would seem. :(
