Harborside new confirmation email

I have no idea how staroptions allocations were first determined at Harborside
The person owning a gold VOI at Harborside probably has the worst deal ever when it comes to cost per staroption

Not as bad as the person owning the Silver HRA VOI...

Happy to update it with what we know so far but if that's the latest link it's in "comment only" mode - seems locked? Should I ask for Edit access or do you need to unlock it?

In any case, if I'm not mistaken the unit types are:

Phase I AND Phase II have:
1 BR Deluxe
1 BR Premium
2BR Lockoff (1BR Premium + 1BR Deluxe)

Phase II only also has:
2BR Deluxe
3BR Lockoff (2BR Deluxe + 1BR Deluxe)

(I don't believe the phases really matter for point allocations, like they don't matter for Staroptions, so probably no need to separate in the spreadsheet)

What we know so far from the thread here is:

1 BR Deluxe: Gold 1525
1 BR Premium: Gold 2025
2BR Deluxe: Platinum 3925; Gold: 2850
Just add a comment to each cell with what should go in that cell.

While the conversion rate to Abound points is important, more important is the cost of those points ($MF/point).

3 Bedroom Lockoff Platinum, 196,900 staroptions, 5375 club points.
I guess I will continue use staroptions.

Just got this email from Marriott—

This is exciting! It shows up as an option in MVC but see zero availability when I check using points.

Platinum or Platinum Plus? According to the SO chart, there is Gold Plus, Platinum and Platinum Plus seasons.

The 196,900 SO (5375 points) is the "highest season" 3BR lockoff.

It'd probably be less confusing if we just call those the traditional Platinum (aka Plat+), Gold (aka Platinum) and Silver (aka Gold)....

Are those the "Home Seasons"?

Are those the "Home Seasons"?

You mean the seasons that determine the SOs points for each week? If so, then yes.

In the spreadsheet it's labeled as Platinum+, Platinum and Gold+. I think that's how it is on the Staroptions chart too. Probably a marketing gimmick Starwood came up with to say there are no bad weeks at HRA.

But the actual Bahamas Deed for my summer week ("medium" season) is listed as "Interval in the Gold Season". The deed for my Spring break week ("high" season) says "Interval in the Platinum Season".

In the "What I Own" section on Vistana.com, there is a VSN Season and a Home Season. The VSN Season would be what is on the SO chart. HomeSeason is what the resort referes to as the seasons in the underlying condo documents. SVV for example has home seasons of High and Prime but VSN Season is Gold Plus and Platinum.

The system has progressed to allow me to choose a VOI for conversion to club points online
The system says I will receive 4525 club points for 148,100 star options
The VOI is a 2 Bdrm LO in the platinum season
Yup same here! So now i am less than 500 points from the top level, wonder if i could buy that small of a resale package? I don't own any pure Marriott points right now

Probably won't see availability in Abound until Harborside owners actually elect to trade their usage for Abound points.

They may have had a push to get HRA in before the September 30th election deadline (for most). Though it would seem odd that they haven't sent any real communication to HRA owners pushing them to elect.

Maybe they'll extend the HRA election deadline for this year, like they did for the rest of Vistana last year?

That would be a good idea.

You may want to buy a 1,000.pt resale ownership instead of just 500 because the enrollment fee is $3 a point with a $3K minimum, meaning it would be $6 a point on a 500 point purchase.

I just checked availability using trust points and see dates for January, April, May and June of 2024.

how many points is a May/June week? has Harborside been added to the Abound points chart? I don't see it.
