Never heard of being banned from all Marriott properties before but I guess there is a list that exists...

Michael Irvin got banned... "Per the News’ account of the lawsuit, Irvin states that he was “shockingly woken up by a crew of security” from his hotel room and removed from the property “without any explanation or questions.” Per the lawsuit, Irvin has been banned from all Marriott properties."

Yes, Marriott can ban anyone from all properties for any reason they want, and there is nothing you can do. Marriott also has in internal file on every guest, and there is no way to dispute incorrect information in that file:

(In linked article) Judge blasts James Dolan's facial recognition bans from MSG: "...the stupidest thing I've ever read..."
But far from the stupidest thing James Dolan has ever done.

Interesting.. I read Marriott's global privacy poilicy and to me it seems to be clear that you can request to read, change, or delete any personal data they have on file. Maybe I'm not understanding it...

Marriott - like many hospitality industries- has high employee turnover, especially since Covid. I suspect in desperation they hire people not suitable to customer service. My best responses to problems encountered is when I have politely written HQ in Maryland - not emailed - and have received a phone call from a concerned staff member wanting to resolve the issue.
