Westin Lagunamar 1-bed premium oceanside + bike rentals + nature

Is anyone able to tell me where a one bed premium Oceanside would be located?

Has anyone rented a bike at Lagunamar and are there good bike paths?

Are there any good places to see birds / animals nearby?

We love to bike but don't in Cancun. We rented bikes our 1st trip there and it was a disaster. They told us to just ride on the sidewalks and we could go anywhere. The sidewalks were a mess , huge cracks, uneven, open sewer grates, large curbs. It was also very humid. It's not a bike friendly place . If anyone has had a different experience we would love the information also.
 
THe premium 1BR units are in all of the buildings. Oceanside are the units that are at the ends of buildings 100, 900 and 1400 facing the Caribbean Sea.

I haven't rode a bike there, but would agree about the sidewalks. They aren't in great shape. Also realize that Lagunamar is located in the Cancun Hotel Zone and is more urban environment much like Miami Beach. It isn't a nature lover's paradise.

Oceanside units (a.k.a. Ocean Villas) are in the brown areas with the asterisk at the end of building 1, 9, and 14. They're oriented so that the windows face the Ocean with the major axis of the units running along the axis of the buildings while the other units are oriented perpendicular to the axis of the buildings to get a less direct (but still nice) ocean view.
 
I would never consider riding a bike in Cancun. The sidewalks are a mess and nobody in their right mind would ride a bike on the roads. Crazy drivers!
