Hi. Haven’t posted here in quite some time. Years back we purchased a Grand Mayan week and a fair value week on eBay. Due to Covid and other issues we just traveled to Cancun and used 2 weeks we had accumulated in the Grand Mayan. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there and we would like to go back for 1 week in early 2023 for our 50th Anniversary. At that time it might be nice to upgrade beyond the GM. What is the best/accepted way to upgrade? Is it even possible? Thanks in advance.

You could try and exchanging into a GB or GL. It is fairly late to get an exchange for winter 2023.

They do not have many GL units in RM.

The GB units are nice, but basically the same as a GM with a larger deck.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom RM GB for 2 weeks in 2018 for our 50th. They did not allow us to use the Beach Club unless we did the update. We declined.

If you just want a unit upgrade to Grand Luxxe for that one week ; you could make that a condition of attending a sales presentation.
However since New Years to Easter is peak season it is possible that that no GL units are available the week you check in.

Hi. We did not upgrade but are here now. Any suggestions for dining in Carmen Del Playa? We are doing a day trip tomorrow. Thanks.
