Has anyone run into any issues getting a car? We were in St Thomas last December and got one after a 2 1/2 hour wait.

We're going again at the end of May and wondering if anything has changed.

Don't know if they're hard to come by but in St Thomas a compact is going for between 6-700 a week.

Thats due to the hard to come by part
Rental companies sold off a lot of inventory due to covid and now are getting a premium for what they have left to rent

I just read an article that the rental car companies had to sell off their cars during Covid. So now it is hard to get a car rental and the prices are astronomical compared to pre-Covid. We are renting cars in Orlando and Montana this summer. We are paying $2500+ for 2.5 weeks in Orlando and about $2000 for 9 days in Montana. This is crazy expensive!

I’m looking for 10 days in Orlando for the first week in December and prices are ridiculous.
