Sometimes the room is not the same. At SVV in Orlando, they have a high season 2BR lock off and a prime season 2BR dedicated unit. Both have 81,000 StarOptions, but that lock off has a much higher maintenance fee. That is a little different than what you asked. Also understand that not all listings are accurate when they disclose the maintenance fee.

Hi I have a follow up question since I am new here , new to timeshare and would wanted to buy a resale. Why would a westin timeshare with the same room, same view , same season, same staroptions points Have different yearly MF? Is this something to do with when the original direct buyer bought the unit? Meaning the earlier they bought it, the lesser the MF? Thanks in advance

Sometimes the ads are wrong. Sometimes sloppy work. Sometimes out-of-date (last year's MF's?; two year's ago MF's?).

Some sellers include the VSE fee in the MF's (VSE fees are paid with MF's, but not technically part of it). In California (and states where property taxes are billed separately), some ads will include it; others don't.

And sometimes, you will realize that you know more than the sellers; perhaps the MF's are correctly stated but the timeshare itself was not (usually wrong type of unit, such as dioxide's example above).

I see... that makes real sense with VSE added to the the MF. Thanks!
