No more buybacks.

The offer was as follows (cheapest way to convert my 2 weeks).

I own a SVV 81,000 star options and Wkorvnorth OF 178700 star options. Offer to purchase Westin Flex to 3* or 4* minus $1750 credit for a hotel stay and 10% off price.

Price is .375 per star option plus 215,000 BONVOY POINTS and purchase 4x 270,000 Bonvoy points for $1875.

67100 Westin Flex options at $23,433 puts me at 3* and 102,000 at $38250 minus 1750 credit

I said no thanks.

Thanks for the info. When you say "No more buybacks" and "...convert my two weeks" What does that mean? i.e. If they are not taking back your deeds, then what are you converting?

We keep our resale deeds but if we buy flex options they will make them count as if they were bought from the developer. Before they would give us a credit from our Sheraton Vistana Village towards purchase of flex options.

If you own mandatory deeds on those resales you have then “making them count as if they were bought from the developer” means zilch.

Correct 25,000 to get all the benefits of 3* or 38K for 4*.

For some I could see a Westin Flex would have value when converting q non mandatory resort. With Westin Flex you get home priority for island view and Oceanview at WKORV(north) book any day of the week as well as the other resorts so not bad. Westin Flex would also have resale value imo.
