Like the topic says, which resort would you guys recommend for 6 adults and two under 5 year olds family vacation? Planning to get two 2BR units as a backup plan to getting SSR, OKW, or better at Disney.
'Preciate the input guys and gals.

BC is much closer and has plenty to entertain everyone including lazy river. I think BC also has
Regular shuttles to wdw for small fee all day long. If you use a car, bc is essentially the same travel time as being onsite.
O is not a bad location for wdw as you can use sherbeth road near AK. Shuttle is more limited I think. It takes a 15 minutes from O to wdw area. O is not good for universal. It’s on the far side. At least 30+ minutes and maybe fighting traffic.
For DVc via rci, likely only to get 1 bedroom at ssr possibly okw. Zero chance of 2 br.

@elaine thanks for the advice/input. I own with Welk and have seen numerous two bedroom units at OKW and SSR over the past year. I know pretty much no other exchange resort does.

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
In order to use the rafts at River Island you need to pay a fairly high per person per day or per person per week fee. It's called a play pass and it also includes mini golf and some blow up slides. You can also get some for free or discounted but only if you attend a presentation. If you are staying in a signature unit at river island the passes are included.

I can’t speak for the other, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bonnet Creek. I take my kids every year, usually with a grandma accompanying. There are a lot of pools- two have slides, there’s a splash pad, two or three lazy rivers, hot tubs at every pool. My kids are 10 now, and a 1year old. We’ve been going at least 5 years- something for everyone. There are restaurants/bars outside all along the property and onsite arcade, mini golf, and planned daily activities for kids AND adults. The pools are outside and heated. We were there last week. There is a shuttle to the parks, but you’re right across the street from Disney.

@Tookatie29 how are they activity fees? Tube rentals etc...

Tubes and mini golf are free. Many of the scheduled activities are free or very cheap. The arcade is....well, an arcade. They have glitter tattoos and hair wraps on one of the pool decks daily and those are $10 or so, but overall, you could stay just on the resort and have plenty to do without spending a lot of extra $.
