Can anyone tell me the Florida policy when timeshare is evacuated due to hurricane?
Our week begins this Saturday and so do evacuations in Volusia county Fl that will most likely last till Wednesday. I was told I had to reschedule in 2019 but only thing available is Nov and Dec which is nearly impossible for us to use.
Is there any way to make timeshare give week in 2020? Manager says No.

If you didn't have trip insurance, you may be SOL. Sorry.

Contact the resort, if they are evacuating you should get a credit for your stay.

OP was told they could re-schedule in 2019. Nov/Dec dates are not acceptable.

We have been rescheduled to stay at HIVC at Cape Canaveral in November.
Also Had a groupon for their restaurant that was going to expire in September, Groupon reissued me a coupon that doesn’t expire til January. The resort waived registration fee and we were given a Signature Collection 2 bedroom unit. And no they did not ask us to do an owner update( at least not yet).
We are so fortunate that Dorian missed us but since the resort was closed we couldn’t go.
But this works out for us. Always hear complaints about HIVC, but this is a good thing they did for us.

The nature of timeshare ownership is that every week and unit is owned by someone. The resort cannot simply produce extra units for the following year.
